Hot Chip - We Have Love - PLZ VOTE!

Yet another remix contest that Eye entered last week - very stoked about my track since Eye made it in less than 24 hours and soon to become a Lightning EyeZ classic - its really funky with an inspiring chorus drop - and a mysterious Dracula-esque breakdown that really covers the Hot Chip style with some space jungle vibey tweaks. Eye had a great deal of fun making this last minute. The contest is for a chance to play a set at the MOOGfest in Asheville, North Carolina on Halloween weekend. Its a great opportunity considering the heavy-lifting headliners DEVO, MGMT, Massive Attack, Hot Chip, Shpongle (one of my very favorites), Pretty Lights, Thievery Corporation, Big Boi, Girl Talk, The Disco Biscuits and so many more. deadmau5 - CAN EYEZ HAZ VOTEZ???

Actually created quite a few remixes in the last two weeks ... 5 brand new tracks! My personal favorite is the one that Eye created for the deadmau5/Beatport remix contest. Eye spent a lot of time on this mix to really make the dancefloor move & groove to a new unique sound that Eye like to think is a spacey psychedelic jedi jam that is very Moombahton inspired. Positioned at the 111 BPM - it is the only triple number in the beats per minute availability, so Eye really connect with that number. The track has already seen light on some blogs, and has had 1,000 plays on the intraweb in less than a week.

Please give it a listen, leave a comment - and do me a HUGE FAVOR - please vote for the track on beatport. It is a quick but intricate process ... you must register/login to beatport, then press the “spin it” button on my track page. If you could help me out with this - Eye would be forever grateful because the contest winner gets to open for deadmau5 - the world’s number one deejay - and also get the track signed with his mau5trap record label. Eye want to throw a huge epic thank you shot out to Mike Dwyer of the Beat Mass Duo for producing and mastering this track at the Harmonic Brew Studios in Tempe, Arizona. This mixer virtuoso really took my track to the next level sonically - if you have a track that is in need of mastering this is your homeboy! Eye am gonna be spending a lot of time in these studios mastering all my tracks. Also watch out for his upcoming releases that are gonna get vibed on the dancefloor near you soon enough. Rally to Restore Sanity vs. March to Keep Fear Alive

Aloha! The beginning of October has been a great start to the holiday/winter season. WOW! Eye can’t believe its here either, exciting times we live in on this Earth most definitely.

Halloween is right around the corner - expect a blog post later in the month highlighting some of the great festival choices around the country ... however the biggest news about events this month happens to be an important rally in Washington DC hosted & envisioned by none other than the Daily Show’s Jon Stewart and the Colbert Report’s Stephen ... Colbert.

The dual rally is Stewart’s Rally to Restore Sanity & Colbert’s March to Keep Fear Alive as a response to Glen Beck’s rally in September. They are proposed as mass gatherings for the moderate citizens who make up 80% of the political vote in the USA. It is a meetup for all of us who are not extremists on the left or ride side - for those who want a return to solving real problems & solutions like sustainability, and hemp as opposed to arguing about things that the government shouldn’t have its hand in like world domination and such. So being the outstanding citizen of a country ripe for revolution, Eye decided to make an original mix using samples from the two TV shows.
